Boil water notice to affect select Lehigh Acres neighborhoods

The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) has scheduled a water service interruption for Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Town Lakes Community.

This will affect several streets: 

·         Allamanda Court

·         Bass Lake Court

·         Beauty Berry Court

·         Blue Daze Court

·         Fountain Mist Blvd.

·         Gassner Way

·         Gopher Tortoise Trail

·         Horizon View Blvd.

·         Liriope Loop

·         Pine Nut Court

·         Penta Court

·         Plumbago Court

·         Star Jasmine Court

·         Tortoise Isle Court

·         Village Lakes Blvd.

·         White Dover Court

This shutdown aims to replace a leaking valve to enhance the water system's reliability and integrity. The Fraternal Order of Eagles and Florida Skin Care Center will also experience service disruptions.

Following the restoration of service, a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory will be in place. The FGUA advises customers to boil water for at least one minute before use or to use bottled water.

Water samples will be tested by a Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory. If cleared, the FGUA plans to lift the advisory by Friday.
