Lee County hosts virtual meeting to address wildfire risks

LEE COUNTY, Fla. —

Lee County leaders are hosting a virtual public meeting today to help residents understand and reduce wildfire risks in the area, seeking community input to shape recommendations for wildfire response, mitigation, and community education.

The plan is being developed by Lee County in partnership with SWCA Environmental Consultants and incorporates input from local agencies, area fire districts, the Florida Division of Forestry, and community members.

The meeting runs from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
