Punta Gorda restaurant manager accused of possession of child pornography

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. —

The manager of the Golden Corral in Punta Gorda is accused of possession of child pornography, the Punta Gorda Police Department said on Wednesday.

PGPD says that Ryan Scott Beagles, 28, possessed 10 or more images and/or videos depicting child pornography. Beagles was arrested on Feb. 21 and was transported to the Charlotte County Jail. PGPD says that he was bonded out the next day.

Because of the amount of material he reportedly possessed, Beagles' charge was upgraded from a third-degree felony to a second-degree felony, under Florida law, they add.

Officers say that the investigation remains open, and that anyone with additional information can call the Punta Gorda Police Department at 941-639-4111.
