The Weather Authority is tracking smoke to move across the area due to a wind shift.

The Weather Authority's Zach Maloch said, "A fire is burning in Collier County. We're going to have smoke from that air drift across SWFL because of a shift in the wind."

Wednesday

The Weather Authority continues to monitor the large fire in Big Cypress National Preserve in Collier County, as a shift in the wind will cause more smoke to move across the area this Wednesday.

Beyond a smoky and hazy look, we'll see a warmer day with highs in the 70s.

Thursday

Starting a little milder Thursday morning, with temperatures in the 40s and 50s.

Plan for a quicker warm-up, with temperatures soaring into the 80s Thursday afternoon.

We'll once again see a smoky and hazy sky thanks to that fire in Collier County.

Friday

Temperatures will be even warmer Friday morning, as lows will be in the 50s to 60s.

Plan for a warm afternoon with highs in the lower to mid 80s across Southwest Florida.

We could still see smokey condtions Friday afternoon.
