2 adults injured in Collier County bus crash

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A two-vehicle crash involving a Collier County Public Schools bus and a passenger vehicle occurred on Friday at the intersection of East Tamiami Trail and Sandpiper Drive.

The Greater Naples Fire Rescue District said the bus driver was not at fault. Two adults sustained minor injuries and were transported for treatment. The bus driver and two students were evaluated at the scene and had no injuries. The students were released to their parents upon arrival.

The Greater Naples Fire Rescue District expressed appreciation for the coordinated response with Collier County EMS and the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.

"This is a good reminder to drive safely and have a little extra patience while out on the roads," said the Greater Naples Fire Rescue District. "Let’s all do our part to keep our students, bus drivers, and community safe."
