Cape Coral brush fire burned 36 acres in Yellow Creek Preserve

The Cape Coral Fire Department says the cause of the fire was an illegal camp fire. It posted this photo on social media:

Cape Coral and all of Lee County are currently under a burn ban.

The Florida Forest Service says the fire burned 36 acres and is 95% contained.

Cape Coral Police re-opened northbound Del Prado Blvd.

The fire has now burned 15 acres and is 65% contained, according to the Florida Forest Service.

The Cape Coral Police Department says it has closed down Del Prado Blvd. from Kismet Parkway to the Coral Lakes community.

A four acre brush fire was burning in the Yellow Creek Preserve Saturday afternoon in Cape Coral.
