Manatee rescue operation conducted at Orange Harbor in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla.—A manatee rescue crew is on scene at Orange Harbor in Fort Myers, preparing to extricate a manatee from the waterway.

Law enforcement appeared on location at around 12:50 p.m., where witness reports say around four Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission trucks and a Lee County Sheriff’s Office vehicle were seen.

Video footage captured by Biro shows crews transporting the manatee from the rescue boat and preparing it for relocation.
