Photos: Total lunar eclipse captured across the Gulf Coast Tuesday morning

FORT MYERS, Fla. —

A total lunar eclipse turned the moon red in Southwest Florida's skies Tuesday morning.

The spectacle was captured by viewers across the Gulf Coast as the Earth, sun and moon alligned, giving the moon its "Blood Moon" appearance.

There won't be another total lunar eclipse until 2028, making the spectacle all the more special this year.
