New action park opens in Fort Myers

There’s a new way to burn energy in Southwest Florida and it does not involve the beach, a gym, or a treadmill.

Slick City Action Park has officially landed in Fort Myers, and it’s one of the first of its kind on the East Coast.

Slick City is not your average indoor park. It is a massive, climate-controlled action park built around towering dry slides, air courts, and obstacle-style play zones that feel like a real-life video game. It's water-park thrills without the water and without worrying about rain, heat, or Florida humidity.

The park’s biggest draw is its collection of giant indoor slides. From racing lanes where friends can compete side by side to steep drops and twisting curves, the slides are designed for both kids and adults who still like to feel that stomach-drop moment.

Beyond the slides, Slick City also features air courts for bouncing basketball, dodgeball, and freestyle jumping. There are designated areas for younger kids, making it a place where families can spend hours without worrying about anyone getting bored. It is high-energy, high-movement, and surprisingly social.

What makes the Fort Myers location even more exciting is its place in the company’s expansion. Slick City is quickly spreading across the country, but this Southwest Florida park is the first on the East Coast, putting Fort Myers on the map.

The idea for bringing Slick City Action Park to Southwest Florida came from a problem many families know too well. Owner Ryan Cox said he noticed there were limited options for things to do indoors year-round, especially for families looking for something active.

“It’s something people can do all year round,” Cox said. “I think it’s cool that the parents join in on the fun. My kids love it.”

The park is designed to be welcoming for nearly every age group. Guests as young as four and as old as 80 are sliding, jumping, and competing side by side, turning it into a rare space where grandparents, parents, and kids can all participate together.

Just weeks after opening, the response has already exceeded expectations. Cox said the park has quickly become a popular destination for celebrations and group outings.

“We do a lot of birthday parties here,” he said. “This past weekend we did 20. It’s a great space to host.”

With its mix of massive slides, air courts, and party-friendly layout, Slick City is filling a gap in Fort Myers for year-round entertainment. For Cox, the goal is simple. Create a place where families can be active together and always have something fun to do, no matter the season.

The park also offers birthday parties, group events, and themed sessions like glow-in-the-dark nights, giving locals another option for celebrations that do not revolve around bowling or movie theaters. Parents can watch from seating areas or join while kids run, climb, and slide their energy away.
