Lee County Judge John Carlin suffered a cardiac event on Feb. 27 and remains in the ICU, his wife, Denise Carlin, EdD, Lee County Schools Superintendent, said.
Doctors continue to monitor John Carlin's condition and conduct further testing, Denise Carlin said.
Carlin's family is grateful for the swift response of first responders and the exceptional care being provided by his medical team.
The family asks for continued prayers during this difficult time and respectfully requests privacy as they focus on his care and recovery.
Carlin serves as a judge on the 20th Judicial Circuit of Florida. He specializes in cases of domestic relations and family law.
In 1996, Carlin was elected as a Circuit Court Judge in the 20th Circuit. He was re-elected in 2002, 2008, 2014 and 2020.
