Matanzas Pass bridge onto Fort Myers Beach to close Saturday for shrimp festival

FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. —

The Matanzas Pass bridge onto Fort Myers Beach will close on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.

The closure is due to the 5k race and parade for the Fort Myers Beach Lions Club Shrimp Festival taking place this weekend. Activities such as a shrimp boil, an arts and crafts expo and a pageant will all take place on Saturday.

Anyone wanting to attend the festival should ensure they are over the bridge by 8 a.m. to ensure they are on the beach on time.
