'Whiskers & Wagers' fundraiser supports animal rescue in Fort Myers

Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue is preparing for its "Whiskers & Wagers Casino Night" fundraiser this Saturday to support its mission of saving, rehabilitating and rehoming animals in the community.

The rescue operates entirely through community support, pulling animals from overcrowded shelters, providing medical care and placing them in loving foster homes until they find their forever families.

The evening promises casino-style games, prizes, raffles and plenty of fun — all in support of the rescue's lifesaving work. Gulf Coast News anchor Channing Frampton will serve as the event's emcee.

Tickets are just $75 and include:

- Full Italian gourmet buffet dinner

- Live music by Gypsy Blue (Solo)

- $2,000 in play money
