NAPLES, Fla.—The Weather Authority recorded a temperature milestone that occurred at the Naples Airport.
On Friday, Meteorologist Josh Green acknowledged that the airport reached 91 degrees, breaking the previous daytime temperature record of 89 degrees set on March 6, 2022.
This continues a streak of record-breaking heat this week, as both Fort Myers and Punta Gorda recorded new daytime high temperature records on Thursday.
Temperatures will continue to test the record books over the next five days, with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s.
