Emergency repairs to Wilson Pigott Bridge on SR-31 set for Friday night

LEE COUNTY, Fla. —

Crews are set to make emergency repairs to the Wilson Pigott Bridge's bridge deck Friday night.

According to the Florida Department of Transportation, repairs are scheduled to start at 8 p.m. The Lee County Sheriff's Office said the bridge will be closed until further notice, so use caution.

FDOT says the work is needed due to an immediate and legitimate public safety concern.
