A man whose release from jail was recinded by the judge following his latest booking for grand theft is wanted.
A few months ago, detectives said Steven Santos went to a big box hardware store and walked out with more than $1,300 worth of copper poles and coils without paying. When loss prevention tried to stop him, Santos became unruly and put up a fight before leaving the area.
Intel analysts at the Lee County Sheriff's Office were able to quickly ID Santos, who was located, arrested and also charged with failure to pay child support.
He was released from jail on certain conditions, which he recently violated, triggering a new warrant for his transport right back to a jail cell.
Santos has four priors for theft, criminal mischief, property damage and burglary.
He is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 190 pounds, and could be using the alias of Steven Encarnacion in an attempt to avoid a trip back to jail.
