St. Matthew's House honors dedicated volunteers in Naples

NAPLES, Fla. —

St. Matthew's House honored three of its most dedicated volunteers this week at its food warehouse, where they all work.

Each received a Certificate of Appreciation Award and a lapel pin for their service.

St. Matthew's House President and CEO Ben Bridges said, "Our volunteers are the lifeblood of our mission and that we couldn't do the work that we do every day in the community without them."

Known for her impressive dance moves at food distributions, Suzie Obermiller was honored as the Gold Level Volunteer after working 744 hours in 2025. Arlene Adams-Hardoin was recognized as the Silver Level Volunteer with 481 hours worked, and Rex Althoff was named the Bronze Level Volunteer with 246.5 hours worked.

St. Matthew's House is extremely grateful for all of its 1,060 volunteers, who worked a cumulative total of 53,162.5 hours last year, valued at $1.85 million to St. Matthew's House.
