2 arrested, accused of trespassing at Golden Gate High School

GOLDEN GATE, Fla. —

Two men were arrested on Thursday after being accused of trespassing at Golden Gate High School.

According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office arrest report, at around 2:29 a.m., deputies were patrolling the area of Golden Gate High School when they saw a car coming from the north entrance of the school, near Tropicana Boulevard and 32nd Avenue Southwest.

At the entrance, there are approximately four "No Thru Traffic" signs, and a deputy noted that at this time, there were no school functions going on, so there was no reason for anyone to be traveling on school grounds.

Deputies stopped the car and identified the driver as Marckens Docteur, 18, and the passenger in the vehicle as Kervens Jean-Louis, 18, the report said.

When deputies asked Docteur why he was cutting through school property, he told them he was heading home and wanted to take that route. A deputy noted that according to his driver's license, Docteur did not live anywhere close to the school, the report said.

Deputies ordered both men to exit the vehicle and placed them under arrest. Both Docteur and Jean-Louis face a charge of trespassing on school grounds, and Docteur received a citation for failing to obey a traffic sign.
