Woman faces murder charge after deputies say she confessed to roommate stabbing in Charlotte County

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. —

A woman was arrested Monday after she was accused of murdering her roommate, following an argument at a Gewant Boulevard residence in Charlotte County Sunday.

According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, Shannon Rose Giblin, 48, was arrested as a suspect in the death of Paul De Wayne Bradley, 76.

Bradley's vehicle, a pickup truck, was missing from the driveway and detectives said they discovered it was driven to Sarasota County. The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office found Giblin with the truck and she was detained.

When Giblin was question, deputies say she reportedly confessed to stabbing Bradley following an argument and covering him with a tarp and leaving after she realized he couldn't be helped.

Giblin was arrested and she is facing charges of non-premeditated murder and grand theft of a motor vehicle. She is being held without bond.
