Fort Myers man convicted of drug trafficking sentenced to 30 years in prison

FORT MYERS, Fla. —

A Fort Myers man was sentenced to 30 years in prison on Monday after being convicted on multiple drug trafficking charges.

According to court documents, on March 5, Travis Lamar Hixon Jr. was convicted of trafficking fentanyl, trafficking amphetamine, possession with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance, use of possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, obstruction of service or execution of a search warrant and possession of a place for trafficking in, sale of a controlled substance, or manufacturing a controlled substance intended for sale or distribution.

Hixon Jr. was sentenced to 30 years in prison, as well as an additional sentence of 10 years to be served concurrently with the 30 years. He was also sentenced to a year in jail.
