ROTONDA WEST, Fla. (WINK)—The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a medical emergency that occurred at L.A. Ainger Middle School.
Deputies responded to the scene at around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, saying that a medical emergency investigation was underway at a Charlotte County middle school and that there was no danger to the public.
The Public Information Officer for Charlotte County Schools provided an update, clarifying that an incident occurred at L.A. Ainger Middle School.
The PIO confirmed that a medical emergency involving a student occurred during a first-period class, prompting an immediate response from school staff.
CPR was administered on the student while emergency medical services were en route to the campus.
The student was transported to a local hospital and is stable at this time.
The details regarding the medical emergency are unknown.
Since the scene is under active investigation by the sheriff’s office, the PIO stated that no additional information can be released.
