Southwest Florida law enforcement speak on Michigan synagogue shooting

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA, (WINK)—Local law enforcement and Florida leaders have given their statements regarding the shooting that occurred at a Michigan synagogue.

On Thursday, a man armed with a rifle rammed a vehicle into the nation’s largest Reform synagogue in a Detroit suburb and was fatally shot by security.

The vehicle caught on fire after crashing into the Temple Israel synagogue in West Bloomfield Township, according to the Associated Press.

Several Southwest Florida agencies and Senator Rick Scott shared their sympathies with those affected in Michigan.
