Clewiston Sugar Festival prompts road closures for Friday and Saturday

CLEWISTON, Fla. (WINK)—Road closures are in effect on Friday and Saturday for the 2026 Clewiston Sugar Festival.

The Clewiston Police Department announced several streets are closed to keep residents, vendors and visitors safe during the event.

West Osceola Avenue is closed from WC Owen to Deane Duff, and Ponce De Leon and Royal Palm are closed through the festival grounds in the Civic Park and City Pool area.

Baloba is closed between Ponce De Leon and Royal Palm. Additional closures will expand to accommodate the 5K and 10K runs and main festival events.

Deane Duff and WC Owen will have north and south restrictions. Pasadena Avenue will be closed between Royal Palm and Deane Duff.

Police recommend using US-27 for east and west travel and avoiding the downtown grid for those not attending the festival. Officers will be stationed throughout the area to assist with traffic flow.
