Man accused of violating terms of release following aggravated assault with deadly weapon arrest

LEE COUNTY, Fla. —

A man is accused of violating the terms of his release following an arrest for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, Jerry Williams, 51, got into an argument with a woman on the day after Christmas in 2025.

The victim asked Williams to leave her alone and go somewhere else, but Williams threw the victim's laptop at her head before shoving her to the ground, mounting her and holding a knife to her throat, Crime Stoppers said.

The victim was able to get away and call the police, who arrested Williams. He spent a month and a half in jail before being released on certain conditions.

Williams is accused of violating those conditions by cutting off his ankle monitor and disappearing from deputies' radar.

Williams is 5'10", 190 pounds and is likely lying low in the central Fort Myers area, Crime Stoppers said.
