Man arrested, accused of possessing cocaine following alleged gunshots on Fort Myers Beach

FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. —

A man was arrested after he was accused of possessing cocaine on Fort Myers Beach Sunday night.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office's arrest report, Isaac Vasquez, 28, was arrested after an incident on Fisherman's Wharf, where a witness said he reportedly fired three shots into the water or air after dropping his phone in the water.

The witness also said Vasquez was reportedly intoxicated, according to the report.

Deputies said they found a rifle in Vasquez's vehicle, as well as two shell casings and another in the gun that jammed. LCSO also reported that they found cocaine in the vehicle.

Vasquez was arrested and taken to the Lee County Jail. He is facing drug-related charges.
