'Taste of the Islands': Tutti Pazzi visits the studio

LEE COUNTY, Fla. —

Get ready to head out to the islands and enjoy a taste of some of the best food the Gulf Coast has to offer.

It's "Taste of the Islands," hosted by the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife, and it's going on Mar. 13 - Mar. 21.

Alison Charney Hussey from CROW, along with Pasquale Russo from Tutti Pazzi, joined Gulf Coast News to give a sneak preview of some of what we can expect at this year's "Taste of the Islands."

Tutti Pazzi is one of 11 restaurants competing this year, and in the week leading up to Saturday, March 21, you can check out any participating restaurant to try their featured competition dish.

Then, on March 21, the main event, "Taste of the Islands," will happen at the Sanibel City Hall.

There will be food, drinks, and live music. It will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The restaurants will each offer an array of menu items that will cost six CROW Bucks or less.

You will then be the judge, deciding who wins honors in a variety of categories, including “Best Appetizer,” “Best Seafood” and “Taste of the Taste.”

Admission to Taste of the Islands, which can be purchased online or at the event, is $10 for adults, $5 for children less than 10 years of age, and free for children 3 and under.

All proceeds go to the CROW foundation. This is the organization's biggest fundraiser of the year.
