Canterbury School in Lee County closed Tuesday due to severe weather damage

FORT MYERS, Fla. —

Canterbury School in Lee County will be closed Tuesday due to severe weather damage on campus from Monday's storms in Southwest Florida.

The school announced in an email that the maintenance team will assess damage from the weather as soon as there is daylight Tuesday morning.

Once the school knows more, an update will be sent out about campus conditions and whether help is needed with cleaning up.

Canterbury School's Rick Kirschner, head of school, said in the announcement that faculty and staff should lookout for a separate email in the morning with more details.
