More than 3,000 LCEC customers across SW Florida impacted by power outages

CAPE CORAL, Fla. —

Strong storms are moving through Southwest Florida on Monday night, causing numerous power outages.

According to the Lee County Electric Cooperative, more than 2,000 customers in Collier County are impacted as of 8:19 p.m. Power restoration is estimated to be completed at approximately 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Approximately 903 customers in Cape Coral have been impacted as of 8:20 p.m.

LCEC's outage map shows 278 customers in northeast Cape Coral, 230 customers in northwest Cape Coral, 125 customers in southeast Cape Coral, and 270 customers in southwest Cape Coral are affected.

LCEC said crews are out and will restore power as soon as possible. Officials also said they will work in the rain as long as it's safe to do so.
