The Weather Authority is tracking a windy day with rain chances due to an incoming cold front. 

The Weather Authority's Oceana Hayden said, "We'll start to see that cold front make its way this afternoon into this evening in our northern communities, and that's going to continue to push towards the southeast."  

Monday

Monday will bring another warm afternoon, but the big story is going to be the wind.

Wind speeds sustained from the SW at 10 - 20 mph, gusts up to 30 mph at times.

This is ahead of our next strong cold front that arrives later in the day. The front will bring those rain chances primarily in the evening and nighttime hours; northern communities have the best chance at seeing rain.

We are under a level 1 out of 5 risk to see severe storms tonight. The biggest impacts would be gusty winds and possibly some small hail.

Expecting us to stay relatively dry throughout the morning and early afternoon.

Tuesday

Tuesday starts off cool and dry, with morning lows settling into the 50s.

WINK News Weather Authority meteorologists are forecasting a beautiful St. Patrick's day, with highs staying in the upper 60s, and a good mix of sunshine and clouds.

Rain chances remain low for tomorrow as well. Fire danger does pick up, as the cold front will leave behind very low humidity values and breezy conditions, making it easy for fires to spread once they spark.

Wednesday

Wednesday begins much the same, with an even cooler start. Many of us will be waking up to temperatures in the 40s and 50s.

Highs reach the low 70s, so it will be an overall nice day.

Humidity will still be on the lower end, so we are expecting the fire risk to be elevated once again on Wednesday.
