14-acre brush fire reported in East Naples, 40% contained

NAPLES, Fla. (WINK)— Several first responder units are on the scene of a brush fire near Collier Boulevard in Naples.

The Greater Naples Fire Rescue responded to the 14-acre blaze in an open field located just west of the sports park and south of Sapphire Cove, between Rattlesnake Hammock Road and Hacienda Lakes Parkway in East Naples at around 1:53 p.m. on Monday.

Currently, the fire rescue reports 40% containment. 

A secondary fire, caused by a spot-over ember, is approximately 2.5 acres and is 60% contained.

Forestry, North Collier Fire, Collier County Sheriff’s Office, and Collier County EMS are on scene assisting the fire rescue. 

No injuries have been reported.
