Crash leaves 1 dead, shuts down northbound I-75 on Alligator Alley in Collier County

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. —

Traffic is backed up along the northbound lanes of Alligator Alley after a deadly crash on Monday afternoon.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened near mile marker 86 of I-75, and all northbound lanes are blocked. The southbound lanes of I-75 remain open.

FHP said one person has died, and other injuries were reported. Troopers will provide updates when they become available.
