Lee County deputies locate missing 79-year-old Lehigh Acres man in under 10 minutes

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. —

A missing 79-year-old Lehigh Acres man was located safely by deputies on Sunday after he left his home.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, drone operators launched after deputies responded to the 700 block of Hightower Avenue South at around 6:15 a.m. for a missing man with multiple health-related issues.

The drone operators located the man in under 10 minutes, spotting him walking down the street.

The man was medically cleared and returned home to his family, LCSO said.
