Fort Myers man caught with thousands of child porn videos, pictures sentenced to 12 years in prison

FORT MYERS, Fla. —

A Fort Myers man was sentenced to 12 years in prison for possessing images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children.

According to the Department of Justice, John James Adducci, 41, pleaded guilty on Dec. 1, 2025. He was also sentenced to a life term of supervised release and is ordered to register as a sex offender.

According to court documents, between February 2023 and June 2025, Adducci possessed and viewed child sexual abuse material, which he had searched for and downloaded from the internet.

During a June 2025 search warrant at Adducci's residence, FBI agents seized his cellphones, laptops, USBs and numerous hard drives. Agents conducted a forensic analysis on the devices, which revealed thousands of images and videos depicting child sexual abuse.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Yolande G. Viacava.
