Fatal hit-and-run outside Circle K remains unsolved, deputies say

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. (WINK)—The Collier County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in solving a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred last year.

The crash happened on Feb. 23, 2025 at approximately 10:30 p.m. in the 5600 block of Radio Road, in front of the Circle K store near San Marcos Boulevard.

Kade Schembri, 18, was struck by a vehicle and left in the roadway. He later died from his injuries.

CCSO investigators said the biggest challenge right now is determining what type of vehicle was involved, who was driving and if anyone saw anything. They said even the smallest piece of information could be crucial to solving this case.
