The Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency approved an agreement with Bowman Consulting Group on Wednesday morning to conduct an air rights study for the Edison Mall property.
The agreement aims to look at the redevelopment of the mall as outlined in the Cleveland Avenue 2025 Plan Update.
The study will provide a framework for mixed-use development and air rights.
The agreement is for $100,000. The funding for this initiative will come from the Cleveland Avenue Trust Fund.
Bowman Consulting Group Ltd., in collaboration with MHK Architecture, will prepare an Air Rights Study analyzing conceptual redevelopment scenarios.
This will include the preparation of massing diagrams, development envelopes, conceptual redevelopment site plans, and a model ordinance related to air rights for the Edison Mall property.
MHK Architecture played a key role in redeveloping Naples' Coastland Mall.
