SOUTHWEST FLORIDA, (WINK)—The Weather Authority is forecasting a little more rain on this Wednesday, with increased rain chances continuing throughout the week.

Thunderstorms moved through portions of  Charlotte County this evening, producing at least pea-sized hail.

A few storms will continue to move through inland areas from Desoto down through Hendry counties this evening before fizzling out late tonight.

Wednesday

We’ll continue to see a bit more cloud cover today compared to the past few days, along with a few spotty showers developing through the afternoon and evening. 

Not everyone will get rain, but you’ll likely notice the increase in clouds. The evening will be mild with temperatures in the 70s.

Thursday

Thursday starts off mild again, with morning lows in the lower to mid 60s. 

Areas of patchy fog will develop after 5 a.m., but it will not be as widespread as the fog was on Wednesday morning.

Expect a partly cloudy afternoon, with only a few showers later in the day.

Most areas will stay dry, but temperatures will trend warmer, reaching the mid to upper 80s.

Friday

By Friday, the pattern continues with mild, humid mornings and the chance for patchy fog early on. The afternoon will be partly cloudy and once again feature a few showers and storms with only 20% rain coverage. Temperatures climb even higher, topping out in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.

Keep in mind for this weekend that there will be isolated afternoon and evening storms.
