Fatal crash shuts down NB lanes of I-75 at Bayshore Road in Charlotte County

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (WINK) — Northbound Interstate 75 is closed in Charlotte County following a fatal crash on Friday.

The Florida Highway Patrol is on scene at mile marker 154. Troopers closed the northbound lanes of I-75 at Bayshore Road and are diverting traffic off the interstate.

Drivers are encouraged to use State Road 31 or US 41 as northbound alternate routes. Southbound I-75 remains open.

FHP said it will provide updates as needed.
