West Elementary School in Arcadia evacuated, fourth threat call this week

ARCADIA, Fla. —

West Elementary School in Arcadia is being evacuated Friday morning after the school received multiple threat calls.

This marks the fourth time this week that the school has received threat calls, all of which have prompted police and sheriff's deputies response.

According to a DeSoto County deputy, the school received a hostage call and then a bomb threat Friday morning, prompting the evacuation.

It is unknown at this time whether the calls were "swatting" calls. The previous three threat calls were all reportedly fake threats, or "swatting" calls.
