A man accused of pulling a knife on someone at an elementary school pick-up line has a new warrant out for his arrest after failing to show up in court, according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.
Crime Stoppers says that Estinvil Mervil, 33, was initially arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and first-degree burglary with assault and battery. Crime Stoppers adds that a victim told officers that Mervil, their former roommate, approached them.
After an exchange, Crime Stoppers says, the victim reportedly told Mervil to stay away from them before a fight broke out, with Mervil pulling out a knife and kicking the victim in the stomach.
After running away, Mervil was found and arrested a few days later. He spent three days in jail before being released pending his next court hearing, which he never showed up for.
Mervil is 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. Crime Stoppers says that upon his arrest, he will be held without bond.
