Beach access at San Carlos Bay-Bunche Beach Preserve in Fort Myers to temporarily close

FORT MYERS, Fla. —

Beach access at San Carlos Bay-Bunche Beach Preserve in Fort Myers will be closed temporarily from April 7 to April 10.

During this time, the Lee County Department of Transportation will be completing drainage repairs and paving related to the impacts of Hurricane Ian.

The roadway south of the parking lot and beach access will be closed, Lee County said. Barriers will be in place to prevent vehicle and pedestrian access to the portion of the road.

The parking lot, restroom and kayak launches will remain open. Visitors are encouraged to use caution in the area during the closure.
