Bicyclist injured after being hit by vehicle along NE Pine Island Road in Cape Coral

CAPE CORAL, Fla. —

A person was hit by a vehicle while riding a bike along NE Pine Island Road near Pondella Road in Cape Coral.

According to the Cape Coral Police Department, the person was taken to the hospital as a "trauma alert," and one lane was blocked on westbound Pine Island Road after the collision.
