Deputies respond to active scene near Kenilworth Blvd in Port Charlotte with shot fired

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. —

The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office is responding to an active scene in the area of Kenilworth Boulevard in Port Charlotte.

CCSO said that there are reports of a shot fired at the scene.

Residents are encouraged to avoid the area and remain indoors, CCSO said.
