West Elementary in Arcadia cleared after latest threat investigation

ARCADIA, Fla. (WINK) — A threat at West Elementary this afternoon prompted an investigation by authorities.

Authorities searched the school and deemed it a non-credible threat. The school returned to its normal schedule following the investigation.

"Our campus is safe and on a normal schedule," the school said in a statement to parents.

Parents may see more officers present during dismissal time. This comes after a string of threats last week targeted the same school.
