Hendry Regional Medical Center offers free home prescription delivery

LABELLE, Fla. (WINK)—A new program is helping people in Hendry County get the care they need by delivering prescriptions right to their door at a lower price.

Hendry County Regional Medical Center (HCRM) is now offering free prescription delivery to patients' homes. All you have to do is see one of their providers.

Earlier this week, people in LaBelle and other communities told WINK News that there are not enough pharmacies or urgent care centers nearby. HCRM is hoping to bridge that gap with this new delivery service, so people aren't skipping out on life-saving medications.

During our WINK Listens event in LaBelle, anchor Taylor Petras spoke with Brenda Martinez of the Hendry County Regional Medical Center, who brought up this new program. 

"They used to get their stuff at either Winn-Dixie, or I know some people travel out of town and go to Walgreens or different places," said Brenda Martinez of Hendry Regional Medical Center.

"We want them to get healthy. It's not just about taking medication, and you just kind of wean yourself off of it. We want you to take your medication and get better, to get a healthier lifestyle," Martinez said.
