NAPLES, Fla. (WINK)—Naples City Council will discuss the city's Fourth of July parade and fireworks show.
City leaders are expected to review applications for both events. According to a city council memo, officials have no concerns with the application.
The City of Naples expects 20,000 people to attend the fireworks show at the Naples Pier. Last year, both the parade and the fireworks were canceled due to the weather.
The last-minute decision came despite the city having no concerns with last year's application either. This year's celebration is special because it marks the 250th anniversary of the United States.
The parade is scheduled for July 4 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The fireworks show is scheduled from 9 to 9:30 p.m.
WINK News will continue to monitor the council's decision and provide updates as they become available.
