Ryan Companies announced Tuesday that it is beginning construction on Trailside at Dia Crossing, a new, 350-unit multifamily community in Fort Myers.
Trailside at Dia Crossing will sit on a 61-acre plot along US-41 at Alico Road. The plot of land was purchased by Ryan Companies earlier this month for more than $20 million.
Ryan Companies said it expects Trailside at Dia Crossing to be move-in ready by the first quarter of 2027.
“The rapid growth and long-term outlook in the greater Fort Myers area have created the need for new, high-quality housing,” said Nat Linden, vice president of real estate development, Ryan Companies. “Closing at this early stage in the next real estate cycle creates a unique opportunity for success and is a testament to the strength of the Ryan Companies platform.”
The community is expected to feature a central park, a 30-acre nature preserve, a kayak launch to Estero Bay, a resort-style pool and a 9,500-square-foot clubhouse.
Residents will be encouraged to interact with their neighbors while at amenities like the fitness center, sauna, cold plunge and yoga deck, Ryan Companies said.
Ryan is the builder and developer of the project. Ryan A+E, the design studio of Ryan, is the architect, and U.S. Bank is providing construction financing for the project.
“We’re pleased to have played a role in advancing this development alongside an experienced team,” said Abby Summerfield, relationship manager at U.S. Bank. “This aligns with our efforts to provide capital solutions that help convert strong market fundamentals into well-executed multifamily projects.”
