Changes in our weather setup will disrupt your afternoon plans

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA, (WINK)—The WINK News’ Weather Authority meteorologists are tracking more moisture moving in across Southwest Florida.

This increase in moisture will aid in more showers and thunderstorms throughout the afternoon and evening.

Thursday

Thursday is off to a mild, humid start, with temperatures in the 60s.

More moisture is moving in for Thursday, and that will lead to scattered storms developing in the afternoon and early evening.

Heavy rain, gusty winds, and some lightning will accompany those storms.

Those storms also look to favor more of our coastal communities.

Temperatures top out in the mid to upper 80s.

Friday morning will start even milder and more humid following Thursday's rain.

Plan for some rain, but not as much as Thursday, with a few showers forecast for Friday afternoon and evening.

Highs will be hotter, topping out in the upper 80s to 90 in some communities.

Saturday morning looks to start quite mild with lows in the 60s to lower 70s.

We'll see a mainly dry day with a few showers popping up Saturday afternoon and evening.
