150-acre brush fire prompts evacuations at Bear Island in Big Cypress National Preserve

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. —

Visitors at Bear Island have been asked to evacuate the area due to a brush fire erupting in the Big Cypress National Preserve.

The Collier County Sheriff's Office advised visitors to evacuate as soon as possible. According to CCSO, the fire is approximately 150 acres.
