Collier deputies evacuate Lago Apartments after man allegedly barricades self

COLLIER COUNTY (WINK) —  The Collier County Sheriff's Office said a man barricaded himself inside his apartment at Lago Apartments on Friday morning after deputies responded to a report of threats.

Deputies responded to the apartment complex at the intersection of Radio and Livingston roads at 9:25 a.m.

Authorities said the man refused to come outside to speak with them when they located him at his apartment.

Deputies evacuated the surrounding areas of the apartment complex. Livingston Road between Radio Road and Enterprise Avenue is shut down.

The Collier County Sheriff's Office said this is an active investigation and there is no threat to the community.
