Our forecast Is switching things up between Friday and Easter Sunday

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA, (WINK)—WINK News’ Weather Authority meteorologists are forecasting a drier, hotter Friday after seeing heavy rain and storms on Thursday afternoon.

Meteorologist Zach Maloch said, “Friday will be drier with the forecast to be hotter than yesterday. For Easter Sunday, things may get a bit wetter as scattered storms will occur during the evening.” 

Friday 

Friday morning is off to a milder and more humid start following Thursday's rain. 

Plan for some rain, but not as much as Thursday, with a few storms (20% coverage) in the forecast Friday afternoon and evening. 

Highs will be hotter, topping out in the upper 80s to 90 in some communities.

Saturday

Saturday morning looks to start quite mild with lows in the 60s to the lower 70s. 

We'll see a mainly dry day with a few storms, about 20% coverage, popping up Saturday afternoon and evening. 

Highs will be hot, with some communities topping out in the upper 80s to 90.

Sunday

Easter Sunday will start mild and dry, with plenty of sunshine.

 More moisture moves in, leading to scattered storms with about 40% coverage in the afternoon and early evening. 

Heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning will accompany those storms. 

Temperatures top out in the mid to upper 80s.
