Storm Chances Jump on Easter—Here’s When It Matters Most

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA, (WINK) — Saturday starts mild, with morning lows in the mid to upper 60s. The day stays mostly dry, with just a few spotty afternoon and evening storms again (around 20%). High temperatures will reach the upper 80s to low 90s.

If you’ve got Easter egg hunts planned, the morning is looking great - dry and comfortable.

Easter Sunday begins mild and mostly clear, but moisture increases through the day. That brings a better chance for scattered afternoon and early evening storms (around 40%).

Some storms could bring heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning. Highs top out in the mid to upper 80s.

Looking ahead, WINK News Weather Authority meteorologists are tracking a cold front arriving early next week. That will bring temperatures down a bit, closer to the low 80s, along with more clouds and higher rain chances into midweek.
